Terms of Use

Last updated 14 October 2026

We built MenuJet to help you read menus and order food you’ll enjoy. Here’s the plain-language fine print that goes with it.

The friendly version

MenuJet reads a photo of a menu and translates it. Restaurants can also make a bilingual menu to print. It’s meant to be genuinely helpful, and it’s usually right, but it’s a tool, not a guarantee.

MenuJet and its services are operated by 360 DEV LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, which provides them under the MenuJet name and is the party you agree these terms with. By accessing or using MenuJet, you agree to these terms.

To use MenuJet, you must accept these terms: you tick a box before your first use, and we record the date and the version you accepted. If you don’t agree, please don’t use MenuJet. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.

Translations can be wrong

  • Menus are read and translated automatically by AI, and translations can contain mistakes.
  • Prices are shown exactly as printed. Prices converted to your own currency are approximate. The price the restaurant charges when you order is the one that counts.
  • Anything marked “Check with staff” or “Unreadable” is uncertain.

Allergies, ingredients, and food safety

  • MenuJet does not identify allergens, ingredients, or how a dish is prepared, and it doesn’t check diets (vegetarian, halal, gluten free, and so on). Nothing in a translation, a dish explanation, a symbol, or the allergy card means a dish is safe for you.
  • The allergy card shows the staff a fixed question in their language, asking which dishes contain what you ticked. It only asks. The staff’s answer, and what you then order, are between you and the restaurant.
  • You are responsible for what you order and eat. If you have an allergy or a dietary need, ask the staff every time before ordering. If you’re not sure, don’t eat it.

Please use it fairly

  • Only upload photos you’re allowed to take and share, and try to leave people out of them.
  • Don’t upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that isn’t a menu.
  • Don’t try to get around the free limits, copy MenuJet or its data in bulk, scrape it, overload it, or mess with its security.
  • Don’t use bots, scripts, or AI agents to scan menus or operate MenuJet through the website. Automated tools may use MenuJet only through access we offer for them (such as a MenuJet connector), within its limits, and must credit MenuJet with a link to menujet.com.

We may limit or stop access for anyone who doesn’t.

Your photos

Your photos stay yours. You let us store and process them to run MenuJet: reading, translating, sharing when you choose to, and keeping them for the times in our Privacy Policy. A private share link works for anyone who has it until it expires. The dish names we read from a menu and their translations are menu facts, not your content: we may keep and reuse them, without anything that identifies you.

Menus you add for other travelers

If you choose “Add to MenuJet”, you confirm you took the photos and that they show a menu anyone can see at the restaurant. You give MenuJet a free, lasting, worldwide permission to publish that menu’s text and translations, to adapt them, and to keep the photos as a record of where the menu came from. Our team checks every added menu and may edit it, reject it, or replace it later (for example, when the owner publishes their own). We credit contributions to your account, but we don’t show your name or email on the menu. Points and badges are a thank-you with no money value; we may adjust or remove them, for example for copied or misleading contributions.

Restaurant owners

If you publish or print a menu for your restaurant, you confirm you’re allowed to, and you’re responsible for checking the menu and its translation first. Your menu is labeled “Checked by the restaurant”: that means you checked it, not MenuJet.

Something wrong or yours?

If you think something on MenuJet is wrong, infringes your rights, or should come down, tell us through the contact form. We look at every request.

Provided “as is”

MenuJet is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or up to date. Free limits may change, features may come and go, and we may pause translation when things get busy.

Limit on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on a translation, including what you order or eat. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. MenuJet is free, so this is $0. Where a court requires a minimum, it is US$50. This sounds stern, but it’s standard. Some places don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you, and nothing here takes away consumer rights the law says can’t be removed.

Disputes

  • Talk to us first. Most problems are solved quickly: tell us through the contact form and give us 30 days to put it right.
  • Arbitration, not court. Any dispute about MenuJet or these terms that isn’t solved that way will be decided by binding arbitration with one arbitrator, not in court, except as described under “Exceptions”.
  • If you live in the United States: the arbitration is administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and fees are paid as those rules provide. It can take place by video, by phone, on documents only, or in person in the county where you live. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate; otherwise these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
  • If you live anywhere else: the arbitration takes place in Taipei, Taiwan, administered by the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei, under its rules, in English, and these terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China).
  • Individual claims only. Disputes are brought by you individually, not as part of a class, collective, or representative action, and both sides give up any right to a jury trial. If this rule can’t be enforced for a particular claim, that claim goes to court instead of arbitration, and the rest of this section still applies.
  • Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court where it qualifies, or ask a court for urgent relief to stop misuse of MenuJet or its data.
  • Courts. For anything that isn’t arbitrated, and to enforce an award: the state and federal courts located in Michigan if you live in the United States, and the Taiwan Taipei District Court if you live anywhere else. Each side agrees to those courts’ jurisdiction.
  • Opting out of arbitration. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these terms by telling us through the contact form. The rest of these terms still apply.
  • Where the law where you live doesn’t allow any part of this section, that part applies only as far as the law allows.

Who we are

MenuJet is operated by 360 DEV LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, and run as a small, independent project based in Taipei, Taiwan. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean 360 DEV LLC in connection with operating MenuJet, and the people who run MenuJet for it. If the English and Chinese versions differ, the English version applies.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows the latest version. When we change them in a way that matters, we’ll ask you to accept the new version before you continue using MenuJet.
